NEW YORK

OUR RACES:

While Trump once had an address in New York and has a long history of committing fraud in the state, it’s clearly Biden country and will be so again in 2024. However, New York Republicans did surprisingly well in the 2022 election cycle, and created one of the highest concentration of competitive House races in the country.

With the presidential election predetermined, New York will not get the attention it deserves, and that’s where we come in.

We have a prime opportunity to flip multiple House seats from red to blue, just as we did in the successful special election following the resignation of disgraced Congressman George Santos. Together, by flipping multiple seats in NY, we can change the course of American history and ensure that Democrats control the House come 2025.

Re-Elect Rep. Tom Suozzi ⋆ NY-03

On some small level, we’ll all miss the hot mess that was Rep. George Santos, but let’s face it, the people of NY-03 deserve someone who isn’t a criminal clown representing them, no offense to clowns. Luckily, they have Rep. Tom Suozzi, who won the special election triggered by Santos’s expulsion from Congress. Suozzi served in Congress before, and when there, he helped pass legislation to lower the cost of insulin and other drugs and worked to secure millions in funding for the Bethpage Water District. Suozzi is committed to protecting abortion rights and passing common sense gun safety legislation. Let’s keep this seat blue!

➟ OUR OPPONENT: Defeat Michael LiPetri

One of just three State Assemblymembers to vote against the Eric Garner Anti-Chokehold Act, Michael LiPetri wants you to think he’s tough, but “cruel” might be the more operative word. He even voted against New York’s Reproductive Health Act, which codified Roe v. Wade into state law. An ally of disgraced Congressman George Santos, LiPetri was defeated by Tom Suozzi in the special election triggered by Santos’s expulsion. Now, he’s back for more. This November, let’s work together to re-defeat LiPetri.

Support Laura Gillen ⋆ NY-04

image of Laura Gillen in a pink shirt.

Former Hempstead Town Supervisor Laura Gillen has developed a well-deserved reputation as a leader who will clean up corruption and protect taxpayers. Gillen successfully recovered damages for contaminants in the public water supply and passed critical legislation relating to sexual harassment and veterans’ benefits. During the height of the AIDS epidemic, Laura rejected fear and hate and volunteered to assist New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS. We need that kind of selfless service in Congress.

➟ OUR OPPONENT: Defeat Rep. Anthony D’Esposito

Joe Biden won this district by almost 15 points. With Biden on the ballot again in 2024, Rep. Anthony D’Esposito should be worried. He sees no problem with states banning abortion access, and he’s opposed to banning military-grade assault weapons designed to kill as many people as possible as quickly as possible. He’s too extreme for NY-04.

Support Mondaire Jones ⋆ NY-17

Growing up in Section 8 housing, a product of East Ramapo public schools, life wasn’t easy for Mondaire Jones, but he was always encouraged to dream big. A graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School, Jones worked in the Obama Administration and the Westchester County Attorney’s Office before being elected to Congress in 2020. There, he helped lead the way on landmark legislation like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act and Inflation Reduction Act. Now he hopes to return to Congress to finish the work he started to lower costs for Lower Hudson Valley residents.

We’ll have to work extra hard to win this seat, because a Republican plant wormed his way onto the ballot through a Working Families Party designation.

➟ OUR OPPONENT: Defeat Rep. Mike Lawler

Rep. Mike Lawler is one lucky politician. This is a district that Biden won by more than 10 points, but Lawler held his head down and rode a regional Democratic Party failure to victory. Now all eyes are on him, and as he votes with the MAGA extremists in Congress, his true colors are showing.

Re-Elect Rep. Pat Ryan ⋆ NY-18

A West Point graduate and former military intelligence officer with two tours of duty in Iraq, Democratic Rep. Pat Ryan understands how important it is to keep America safe. A former Ulster County Executive, cabinet official in the Governor’s office, and successful entrepreneur, Ryan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to serve the people of the Hudson Valley.

➟ OUR OPPONENT: Defeat Alison Esposito

An anti-abortion extremist who thinks repealing Roe is the “absolute right thing,” Alison Esposito told an anti-choice advocacy group that she will support a national abortion ban “at conception”. This isn’t a surprise, as she’s closely aligned with the MAGA movement, backing Donald Trump and former Rep. Lee Zeldin, who notoriously proposed cutting Medicaid access in his failed bid for New York Governor. We’ll work to make sure NY-18 voters know that Alison registered to vote in the district only a week before launching her campaign.

Support Josh Riley ⋆ NY-19

A fifth-generation Upstate New Yorker, Josh Riley’s family had a long history of working in local factories – until the factories shut down. This experience inspired Josh to become a policy analyst at the Department of Labor where he worked to revitalize communities devastated by seeing their jobs go overseas. Now he’s running for Congress to uplift the middle class, tackle corporate greed, and protect abortion rights nationwide.

➟ OUR OPPONENT: Defeat Rep. Mark Molinaro

Rep. Marc Molinaro hasn’t been in Congress for long, but once upon a time, he was in the State Assembly and even ran for Governor. He voted against prohibiting domestic abusers from possessing firearms and opposed the SAFE Act, which banned military style assault weapons. In 2024, his time is up.

Support John Mannion ⋆ NY-22

A public school science teacher for almost 30 years, John Mannion first ran for State Senate because he was tired of seeing cuts to public education. As a Senator, he accelerated middle class tax cuts, passed laws to protect abortion rights, and created the first new police department in New York in almost half a century. Now he’s running for Congress to bring commonsense experienced leadership to the 22nd District.

➟ OUR OPPONENT: Defeat Rep. Brandon Williams

In the wake of the mass shooting in Uvalde, TX, Rep. Brandon Williams argued against the kinds of extreme risk “red flag laws” that could have saved lives that day. We think when voters get wind of how extreme he is, he won’t be long for Congress.
