Jerry was staff scientist at the Environmental Defense Fund from 1971-1975, Deputy Director of the California Department of Water Resources from 1975-1983, Executive Director of the Planning and Conservation League from 1983-2003, and Deputy Secretary of the California Natural Resources Agency from 2011-2013. He has sponsored 10 California statewide initiatives, raising more than $20 billion for health, transportation and environmental programs. He is working to raise the funds Activate America needs to keep electing Democrats around the country.
